MUSA EXECUTVE COMMITTEE
PRESIDENT
SHOANDEEP RADHAKRISHNAN
The President is MUSA’s official spokesperson and is in charge of the organization’s day-to-day operations.
The President is responsible for communicating with University authorities and managing the public affairs of the organization. He/she also serves as the chair of Monash Student Council (MSC) and the Executives, and is accountable to the MSC.
The Vice Presidents primarily focus on academic affairs of the University. In addition, they also aid in the funding of student academic and non-academic initiatives.
The Vice Presidents are also the curators of Monash’s annual event – TEDxMonashMalaysia.
The General Secretary’s Department focuses on internal affairs, stability and well-being of MUSA office bearers and the organization itself. They ensure that all meetings, details and information are well-organized through proper meeting minutes and agenda.
The General Secretary also processes internal feedback forms to ensure that Office Bearers are working in the best, stable environment that can be provided. Furthermore, the General Secretary also helps to facilitate MSC meetings and ensures that the student body has proper access to the relevant documentation for MSC.
The MUSA Treasurers are the bridge between MUSA and Student Life in terms of finances. In addition, they oversee the flow of funds and expenses to ensure that MUSA’s expenditures are accurate and traceable.
The MUSA Treasurers are also responsible for the processing of any and all financial documentation for transactions made by any Department or Division under MUSA.
The Activities Chairperson’s department is in charge of planning the major events here at Monash. Our pride and joy is the planning of the Annual Ball. Our main goals for the department are to give students memories of a lifetime that are unforgettable. Our department stands for inclusivity and the mission is to organize events that cater to students from all walks of life which will simultaneously bridge the gap between the students by providing them with a platform to interact outside of academics.
The Welfare Department is primarily concerned with handling all matters pertaining to students’ mental and physical wellbeing as well as student safety. Aside from this, the department is also responsible for organizing initiatives to boost student happiness and satisfaction throughout the academic year.
The Welfare Department strives to uplift the voices of students when it comes to upholding their rights and protecting their wellbeing, and is in charge of chairing the Welfare Affairs Committee (WAC). For any health and wellbeing concern, this is the department to reach out to.
Publicity Officers are the bridge between MUSA and the student body, which aids in the development and maintenance of lines of communication, mutual understanding, and cooperation between MUSA and student bodies.
Our focus is to create a positive image of MUSA amongst the student body, create promotions and brand awareness and to create a harmonious yet sustainable relationship between MUSA, Monash and the student body.
MUSA Editors consist of multiple heads: Administration, Writing, Media and Graphic Design. We are in charge of covering events that happen both on campus and virtually throughout the year as well as providing a safe space for Monash students to express their creativity on our platform.
All our creative works are finally compiled in our digital and physical magazine: the Monash Gazette also known as MONGA which will be distributed to the student population at the end of the year.
The Head of C&S (Clubs and Societies) oversees the overall management and operation of all clubs and societies within the organization. They provide leadership and strategic direction, ensuring that each club and society functions effectively and achieves its goals. The Head of C&S coordinates with other divisions, supports the planning of events, and ensures alignment with the organization’s mission. They also play a key role in resource allocation, problem-solving, and fostering a collaborative environment, ensuring the success and growth of C&S.

The Sports Officer is responsible for overseeing all sports-related activities within C&S (Clubs and Societies). They coordinate the planning, organization, and execution of sports events, ensuring that they run smoothly and meet the needs of participants. The Sports Officer also works closely with clubs to allocate resources, promote sporting opportunities, and encourage student engagement in physical activities. They help maintain a positive sporting culture, foster teamwork, and ensure the overall success of C&S sports initiatives.
SECRETARY
FATIMA JAWAD
Secretaries act as the bridge between the clubs and C&S while assisting with the handling of the necessary documentation as well as the filing of required paperwork.
The secretaries are responsible for posting notices and agendas for all meetings, as well as assisting the Publicity Officer in the process of finalising club committee certificates
The publicity division ensures that all of C&S are informed of events, they are also in charge of approving posters/notices of functions or events held by C&S. The division is responsible for publicizing events and information held by C&S.
Publicity is part of the MUSA Media Affairs Commities representing C&S publicity decisions. They act as a consulting to ensure the current publicity for the various clubs is in alignment with policy.
The Treasurer’s division manages the financial affairs of C&S (Clubs and Societies), overseeing budgeting, accounting, and financial planning for events. They allocate funds, monitor expenses, track income, and ensure compliance with policies. The Treasurer also collaborates with other divisions to allocate resources effectively, supports fundraising efforts, and maintains financial transparency, playing a key role in the financial sustainability of C&S.
External Liaison Officers are responsible for liaising with external parties for sponsorship opportunities, they also contact external parties in relation to the booking venues and purchasing of equipment.
The MUISS Head leads the Monash University International Student Services team, ensuring that the voices of international students are heard and represented. With a focus on advocacy and support, the MUISS Head works to enhance the overall student experience, fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for all international students.
The Secretary of Monash University International Student Services (MUISS) plays a key administrative role, managing correspondence, scheduling meetings, and maintaining accurate records of MUISS activities. They assist in organizing events, ensuring smooth communication between members, and supporting the coordination of initiatives that benefit international students. The Secretary ensures that MUISS operations run efficiently and effectively, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
The MUISS Treasurer is responsible for managing the financial affairs of MUISS, ensuring transparency and accountability in all monetary matters. By overseeing budgets, funding, and expenditures, the Treasurer helps sustain MUISS’s initiatives, supporting the needs and interests of international students.
MUISS Engagement focuses on building connections between international students and the broader Monash community. Through events, programs, and outreach activities, the Engagement team fosters a sense of belonging and encourages active participation, helping students to fully embrace their university experience.
MUISS Media focuses on delivering key information and updates to the international student community at Monash. Through various communication channels, including newsletters, social media, and digital platforms, MUISS Media ensures that students are well-informed and connected to the latest news, events, and opportunities.
The MUISS Media CRO (Country Representative Officer) is the creative force behind MUISS’s visual and digital presence. Responsible for designing promotional materials, managing social media content, and creating engaging visuals, the Media CRO plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing MUISS’s brand identity across all platforms.
