Monash 101: Your Quick Guide to Navigating University Life
This page is designed to help you easily navigate university life, from understanding academic planning and unit options to making the most of your Monash experience. Explore essential tips and resources to ensure a successful and fulfilling journey at Monash University.
Peer Assisted Study Session (PASS)
Sessions usually run over 10 sessions from week 3-12 of every semester with groups of 12-30 students in specific units
IMPORTANT!
Not all units offer PASS. Reach out to your unit coordinator for details!
Make sure to sign up for P.A.S.S. on Allocate+! Refer to this link for PASS units for Semester 1, 2026.
Feedback on Academics and Student Life
Share your thoughts on your units by Week 4 through the Monash Early Student Survey (MESS, formerly ESSFS) to spark immediate changes during the semester. Plus, every entry joins our lucky draw for a chance to win major prizes!
Student Evaluation of Teaching and Units (SETU) is the official end-of-semester survey to evaluate your overall learning experience. Your feedback directly shapes the future of units and teaching quality in Monash.
The Student Affairs Feedback Form (SAF Form) is a platform to raise concerns or suggestions about campus life and services. Your responses will be carefully considered and presented to the relevant departments for follow up actions.
NOTE:
The SAF Form does not serve as a replacement for any existing official forms provided by Monash University Staff.
It serves as an additional platform for MUSA to gather more detailed and specific feedback, allowing for a more personal and direct avenue for students to voice concerns.
Semester 1, 2026: Survey open date: 24 March – 6 April
Semester 2, 2026: Survey open date: 17 August – 2 September
Avoid Academic Misconduct: Know the Rules

Important: Minor offenses may result in a zero for the unit, while severe cases could lead to a hearing and impact your record.
